For nearly 3 years, organizers of the Eclectic Orange Festival have researched the enormous task of bringing Théâtre Zinagro to Orange County. The Festival has engaged the services of Roger Wadham to oversee the creation of Zingaro Village. Wadham is an independent consultant who supervised film crew operations all over the Australian outback and has art director credits on a variety of films. Zingaro Village construction begins October 2002.

Some facts and figures about Triptyk:

The horses fly on two specially equipped 747 planes from Paris to Los Angeles International Airport, accompanied by Zingaro horsemen and veterinary personnel. Transportation will be handled by Mersant International Ltd., the worldwide horse transporters who are the official agents for the prestigious Breeders Cup as well as serving the Kentucky Derby, dubai World Cup and Belmont Stakes.

The 262-foot by 394-foot performance area will be built using 18 stagehands, 3 forklift drivers, 10 electricians and tons of compacted soil, limestone and red clay surrounded by a ring of sand.

Zingaro Village will include 15 dressing rooms, offices, laundry and restroom facilities and a full-service kitchen. VIP dinners for sponsors and guests will be prepared by acclaimed chef Pascal Olhats at Zingaro Village.

During their stay, the horses will require 132 pounds of straw, 660 pounds of hay and 220 pounds of bran.

The horses will consume 88 pounds of barley flakes and crushed oats per day, and 44 pounds of carrots every other day.
